“The Black Hour Ep is a gift to my fans and all those who love music from the soul. This isn’t my attempt at making a hit. It’s a lyrical memoir about a dark time in my life. This dark period has been condensed into 8 songs. Hopefully, my darkest hour, will bring you your brightest.” – Paris Jones

Below is Frank responding to a question via his tumblr.
hey chris,
your name is frank now..it’s a long story. your girlfriend is about to break up with you because of the long distance. it’s ok. & that job you’re working..well, you’re gonna have to work there for another year and some months.. & then you’re gonna get fired. you’re gonna work a couple more jobs after that too. nothing glamorous. kinkos and at&t if you really want the specifics. but you’re never gonna be homeless or starving. don’t worry you won’t fail and have to move back to new orleans either. you are gonna get your heartbroken though. twice. if it helps, the first one is gonna be worse than the second. contrary to how it feels, it won’t kill you. in fact it’s gonna help you write an album. yea, you finally finished an album. people like it man. you’re actually gonna write and record hundreds of songs. they won’t all be good and most ppl won’t think you’re talented at first, but you’re going to master your gifts. you’re going to become a lot stronger and wiser..even a little taller. be patient. i mean, you kind of have no choice. and be good to people. i don’t wanna spoil too much for you, but.. you’re on a plane right now to the east coast to work with kanye west & jay-z. it’s all working out kid. you made it.

Fabolous has revealed that his upcoming album Loso’s Way 2: The Rise to Power will be released on September 13th. Chosen in honor of his debut’s release on September 11, 2001, the date is contingent on Fab wanting to create a 10th anniversary feel.
“That’s coming in September, man. We lookin’ to do that around September 13th, actually, because September 11th is when my first album dropped 10 years ago,” he told Hot 106′s Rise & Grind Morning Show. “That was also the tragic day of 9/11, so my album dropped that same day and we kind of want to do a 10-year anniversary kind of feel.”
He remained mum on guest stars, but hinted that he wanted to work with a few new characters. “I’m working with a lot of guys right now. It’s still in the baby stages, so I don’t want to give too much of the info right now, but it’s soon to come. Everything will be out there,” he said, running down his wish list. “Nas, Eminem, Fergie – I think Fergie’s voice is really dope. A lot of people, man. Jadakiss, Rick Ross. We got a lot of people to look out for on this album coming, man.”

The Source has received a solid date for the release of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative and highly anticipated album Watch The Throne: July 4th.
The information was shared exclusively to The Source by a source very close to the Hov and Ye super project. Later on this evening there will be a G.O.O.D. Music event presented by Heineken and Kanye West held at a still undisclosed location in New York City. Rumors are speculating that at said event, Kanye and Jay-Z might be making an announcement about the July 4th release date.
Once the July 4th date is confirmed, remember that you heard it here first.
Fireworks indeed. via SOURCE

I know Big Sean receives a lot of hate (some well deserved) especially on the timeline’s of twitter but there is no way you can go wrong with the producers he has. I’m pretty sure that Kanye will executive produce as well. Anyways, FF drops June 28th.

I know that Big Sean receives a lot of hate from people (especially twitter) but I decided to post this anyways. Justyn Waves and I discussed whether or not we liked Big Sean and basically came to the conclusion that we are fans of music instead of artists. With that being said, Big Sean has created some good music (pun intended). Hopefully he can make an entire album that’s repeat worthy. Hit the jump below to see the features and listen to the interview.
