Video: Twitter Commercial for Kanye West’s DONDA
“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…” – Kanye West

It always interest me to hear the opinion one legend has on another. According to RZA, Kanye’s focus is something he’s never seen from a rapper. Up and comers take note.
VOYR provides us with another clip from behind the scenes of the Watch The Throne tour. In this video Ye chops it up with Mary Kate AND Ashley, Big Sean talks about Kanye’s influence, and we get also get a guest appearance from Mannie Fresh!
Yo! F*ck every last piece of the September/October version of myself for not getting tickets to this show. Throughout this episode, Kanye speaks on his road to the throne and what he would like to be remembered for. Episodes 2-5 are below.
A new Jay-Z, Kanye and Throne album in one year? Won’t trick me. I can see them getting back together but nowhere in the near future.
“It depends on how this thing finishes up,” Jay said in reference to his and Kanye’s current Watch the Throne Tour. “We — I say ‘we’ because I’m in Throne mode — we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year. You know, we’re really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone.”
I saw this on UHTN earlier and I always think it’s interesting to see the back story on songs. Here Roscoe Dash talks tell us the origins of Big Sean’s hit “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay”
“The way it happened was, I got the record a couple months before Sean got it. I tackled the hook but I didn’t really know how to tackle the verses because the beat was so crazy. That’s why I’m glad it actually got to their hands…..I don’t think anyone could have done it any justice. But Ye had hit me up to come participate on the Watch The Throne album and that was one of the first records I played for him to show the style I was on and what I was really doing at that point in time. He fell in love with it immediately, man. He grabbed the jump drive, threw it in my lap and said “I gotta do that right now.” He recorded his verse, two weeks later Sean was on it and it was out of here. At first it was intend for Watch The The Throne but I guess he felt Sean would make better use of it.”

What’s better than watching supermodels (mainly Adriana Lima…..call me) walk around on national tv in lingerie you ask? Watch supermodels bounce around to my favorite song. Swag!!
I don’t know if you understand how crazy cray something like this is. Two black guys from the inner city, one of which used to sell drugs; are performing a song called “Niggas In Paris” at a fashion show. The statement this makes is something that won’t be given it’s proper respect until they’re both gone.
If I’m alive in December, I’ll be at the Vegas show doing the Otis scream. The tour dates are below and if you don’t know how to find them, then you shouldn’t be listening to intricate music in the first place.

You can call it a wrap for all labels if G.O.O.D. Music actually puts together an album. Yeah I know… I said that for shock value but the album will definitely be dope and will probably arrive this time next year (quote me).
Below is a Def Jam press release from this summer that gives foundation to Yeezy’s tweet.
KANYE WEST’s G.O.O.D. MUSIC LABEL SIGNED TO EXCLUSIVE WORLDWIDE LABEL AGREEMENT WITH ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC GROUP
BIG SEAN’s OFFICIAL DEBUT ALBUM, FINALLY FAMOUS, IS FIRST NEW RELEASE ON G.O.O.D. MUSIC – CONTAINING HIT SINGLE “MY LAST” FEATURING CHRIS BROWN
(June 27, 2011 – New York, NY) 14-time Grammy-winner (and 30-time Grammy nominee) Kanye West’s independent record label G.O.O.D. Music, has been signed to an exclusive long-term worldwide label agreement with the Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG). The announcement was made today by Kanye West, Barry Weiss, Chairman & CEO of Universal Motown Republic Group (UMRG) and Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) and Steve Bartels, President & COO, Island Def Jam Music Group.
The first release under terms of the new agreement will be FINALLY FAMOUS, the official debut by Detroit rapper Big Sean, arriving in stores June 28th. The album, executive produced by Kanye West, has already spun off G.O.O.D.’s first bonafide hit single, “My Last” featuring Chris Brown. The track is #1 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart, and #4 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
A protégé of Kanye West, 22-year old Big Sean (Sean Anderson) was signed when he was still a teenager. Big Sean is now the flagship artist on the G.O.O.D. Music roster. Kanye West will continue to serve as a core recording artist at Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Recordings.
“G.O.O.D. Music is an exciting new chapter in the long and successful association of Kanye West and Island Def Jam,” said Mr. Weiss. “As a recording artist and a producer over the past eight years, there is no one who has made a greater impression on the game than Kanye. We look forward to working closely with the new and established artists that he will be bringing to G.O.O.D. Music, which is already off to an impressive start with Big Sean.”
“Kanye’s genius has been proven time and time again on records and onstage,” said Mr. Bartels. “He not only pours it out for himself, but he has made the difference with his presence on innumerable projects with other artists who are indebted to him. Kanye is an integral core member of the IDJ family, and G.O.O.D. Music continues his unselfish tradition of bringing along great new artists to the forefront.”
Kanye West is a cornerstone artist on the Def Jam roster. His combined albums and singles have sold in excess of 20 million copies worldwide, starting with his RIAA double-platinum debut of 2004, The College Dropout, and triple-platinum follow-up of 2005, Late Registration. The two albums spun off multiple hit singles, and generated five Grammy Awards, including consecutive wins for Best Rap Album of 2004 and 2005, as well as Best Rap Song (songwriters’ award) of 2004 (“Jesus Walks”) and 2005 (“Diamonds From Sierra Leone”), and Best Rap Solo Performance for 2005 (“Gold Digger”). Kanye’s next album, Graduation generated another three Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Song for 2007 (“Good Life”), and (in 2008) Best Rap Album and Best Rap Solo Performance (“Stronger”). 808’s & Heartbreak (2008) was Kanye’s fourth consecutive RIAA multi-platinum-selling album. It was followed by My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010), his fifth consecutive #1 Soundscan debut, named the best album of the year by a majority of critics in the U.S. and UK. In addition to his own records, Kanye West has been featured as a guest on countless tracks over the years, and has shared in at least six Grammy Awards for his work with other artists.
Tip comes through and drops a hot 16 to my favorite track so far this year.
T.I. – Niggas In Paris
Yeezy and “Russell with a whole bunch of OOOOO’s” stop by to show their support to the peaceful protesters. Below is an excerpt that Russell let go via his blog.
Today, Russell brought none other than Kanye West down to take part in the #OccupyWallStreet protests. Both of these men are showing that they take their jobs as leaders of our generation seriously by participating in the peaceful protests.
Russell says of Kanye joining him today:
“It was amazing to see how people loved seeing Kanye West at Occupy Wall Street. His music and his art has always been about the voice and the power of the people. Kanye just wanted to come down and experience the growing movement that has opened the eyes of many around this country and around the world of the struggles of poor people. The energy at Liberty Plaza was electrifying and the momentum to get the money out of politics is growing quickly.”

“Now these last words from the boss man (Boosie)… and his first words were kill a nigga for hatin on me, what they deserve. He like, he will do it on GP cuz he my dogg. One phone call, job done, for the boss man.” – Lil Boosie
1. Keep Boosie
Any grown man that utters the words, “Free Boosie” is a terrorist and cannot be trusted. The days of standing behind rappers and their crimes died when Big and Pac passed (or at least I thought they did). When TI went on record and told us why he had weapons of mass destruction; every GED having degenerate believed every word and acted like they related to his situation. Let me ask you this… would you be ok with a 7 time felon that collects army guns living next door to you and your children? Yeah, me neither. For years, Boosie told us that he carries “long clips and choppers” and we sang along to every word because he was just ‘keeping it real’ right? So when shit really got real and he caught charges; all of the sudden he’s innocent and the justice system is just out to get rappers? Or maybe it’s just a coincidence that he’s behind bars for doing the exact same thing he told us through his bars. Either way it goes, karma is real and that’s word to Alicia Keys. So the next time you feel a certain way about Boosie being locked, go check out this video of him rolling in the money he got from killing people on wax. His music still dope doe!
“That’s for you non-believers. I’m the truth, only time will teach ya… and f-ck the haters, probably never love they momma’s neither.” – J. Cole
2. Call Your Parents
While your busy posing in front of your spotted bathroom mirror with a bent elbow holding your phone and a fake smile, your mom is at home thinking about you. I’ve seen people ignore calls from their parents so they could finish placing an order with their weed-man. I watched a kid have an entire conversation through text messages during class by holding his phone under the desk and looking at the chalkboard simultaneously. I guarantee he didn’t use 1 of the 10,080 minutes last week to compose a message to his mom. I will be the first one to tell you that my parents are some of the most annoying creatures to crawl on this earth, but that’s how they’re supposed to be. For 18+ years, every time your facebooking ass was broke, tired, upset, dumped, lazy, bored, crying, vomiting, etc; your parents were by your side… but you can’t press send and tell them you love them? One day they won’t be there and you’ll realize that your anytime minutes can’t roll over to the cemetery (absolutely no pun intended). Most of you will wait patiently at the bar for upwards of 10 minutes to buy an overpriced shot, but you can’t wait for the beep after 31 seconds of the phone ringing to leave a message and make your mom’s day. You show me a man that doesn’t want to make his mom smile and I’ll show you a boy that will never be a man.
Today’s Theme Song: Kanye West – Hey, Mama (Live @ Coachella 2011)
Bonus: 2Pac – Dear Mamma
If you’ve never teared up listening to either of those songs then you should donate your body to the local morgue. I just want to see my generation and community prosper, so when I tell you to call your family or go play frogger on the interstate… I really mean it bro. Anyways, these are just my thoughts so if you don’t agree I hope you get laid off tomorrow with no chance of getting an unemployment check. It’s time for me to cut this shampoo bottle in half so I can wash my hair one more time before payday. In the meantime, tell a facebook friend to tweet about us.
