Lil Wayne – Green and Yellow (Packers Theme)

Well this officially marks the end of every “Black and Yellow” remix out there. This is basically a diss song and I have to say I do like it.

The League: Kevin Garnett Goes H.A.M on a Fan

by DG

Kevin Garnett has been on a roll lately. And, not necessarily a good one.

The Boston Celtics forward’s latest faux pas; When a Lakers ball boy on Sunday asked for his autograph, Garnett told him “you have a better chance of catching Bin Laden.”

The autograph incident was first reported by Yahoo’s Marc Spears and ESPN’s J.A. Adande.

It seems that Garnett is not particulary inclined to sign for opposing ball boys. Upon hearing of the snub, Bucks center Andrew Bogut tweeted: “little better than what he told one of our ball boys.”

The League: Herschel Walker NFL Comeback at Age 48

by DG

Herschel Walker has already had many diverse chapters in a fascinating sports life. He was one of the greatest college football players of all time while at the University of Georgia, an NFL star, an Olympic bobsledder, and most recently, he’s dabbled as a mixed martial artist.

But at 48 years old, Walker is still looking to athletically challenge himself, and his latest thought is a doozy: he’s considering an NFL comeback.

“I know I can play,” Walker said on a Monday conference call that was intended to promote his Jan. 29 Strikeforce MMA match. “If I continue to stay in the shape I’m in now, I know I can play when I’m 50. Right now, if you asked if I can play today, there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind I can play football today, that I can help out a team today.

“I 100 percent guarantee you I can help a football team out,” Walker continued.

News: Body of Ed Reed’s (Baltimore Raven) Brother Still Missing

by DG

This is a sad story. Hopefully they can recover it soon.

A private search team called in by Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed and family members took to the Mississippi River at first light on Monday to search for the body of Reed’s missing 28-year-old brother.

Texas EquuSearch on Sunday had located what it believed to be the body of Brian Reed tangled in debris about 20 miles northwest of New Orleans. But Kenner Police Lt. Wayne McInnis said divers were unable to find it.

“We had the perfect image,” said Tim Miller, director of EquuSearch. “There’s no doubt it was him but it was in an area that has so much debris that doing anything there, it’s really hard.”

Rumorville: Vince Young to the Minnesota Vikings?

by DG

Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks coach had this to say about Vince Young:

“I know that question is going to be coming,” Craig Johnson told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.  “So my answer is going to be this:  I do have a relationship with Vince, a long relationship with him.  But the head coach and ownership and the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings — they’re the ones that are going to make the decision.  The assistant coaches coach.”

“I am sure they’ll do due diligence on Vince, and every quarterback that is going to be available on the market is going to be discussed,” Johnson said.  “I know it is going to be discussed, and I’ll put my two cents worth on him because obviously I have more of a relationship with him that most.  And then whatever decision is going to be made will be made.  Obviously I have a good working relationship with Vince, and he produced pretty well under me.”

“I think [Vince's] future is still to be written,” Johnson said.  “What I would officially say about him, and what needs to happen about him, is in the big picture he needs to be known and thought of more for what’s happened on the field than what’s happened off the field.  I think that is true of him and any quarterback.”
